I tend to agree, but all that stuff is low on the glycemic index.

Unless a person is a diabetic the glycemic index is, according to most doctors, not entirely relevant for a healthy person and even so, doctors still recommend 400 grams of fruits, almost the double in vegetables, and the rest being grains, with some sparing dairy and proteins, but relying more on vegetable proteins. These menus are completely off when looking through the lenses of any national health guide, including the Portuguese one.

Dietary guidelines are the same for all humans and no dietary guidelines on the planet promote “carnivore” diets.
