We have only been to a couple of Michelin star restaurants in our dining together, largely because the ones we've been to have failed to impress us. Precious food, big cost, tiny portions. Not worth it for us. I'm sure there are places with stars that we would like but I'm not going to go out of my way to find them.

It's nice to know we're not the only ones who feel let down. I have wondered if maybe we just didn't get it or if we were having a bad day. Thank you for this post.

Despite the Portuguese proud, there’s a reason we don’t have a three Michelin star in the country. We mainly have less than optimal choices (and I say it with a hint of sadness). Lucky us, Europe is just a big village with very cheap flights. Paris is nearer :)
