In November last year, I went to Paris, which is quickly becoming my favourite European city together with Lisbon, and where I honestly would like to spend more time exploring and wandering around, aimlessly, outside the busy tourist circuits.
This time around, I was lucky enough that I could enjoy a very innovative cocktail experience, which ended up setting into speed motion something inside me.
Open the door with me…
The door to low to no-alcohol cocktails.
The door of the Little Red Door cocktail bar in Marais, Paris, describes itself on the website:
Opened by Experimental Cocktail Club protégée Timothée Prangé and Dotan Shalev, the drinks here are beyond clever and well-thought-out
Since 2022, it has stood at number 6 in the World Best Bar Awards of the 50Best, for some of you who are into this kind of thing, and right after The Connaught bar in London, a bar I like a lot.
Their philosophy is explained on the website:
Since 2020 Little Red Door has pioneered a Farm to Glass model for drinks and menu creation, working directly with French Producers across the country to source produce from which it creates unique homemade products that form the base of their minimally named drinks
